Vero Consulting is a specialist firm of forensic accountants. The team has worked together for many years at Moore Stephens’ London office before moving to Vero Consulting in April 2016. Collectively the team has over 100 years of professional experience.
By working flexible in very small teams (usually no more than 2-3) and using technology to manage our projects, we bring all our experience and expertise to bear on the business issue while keeping our overheads very low.
The team are fluent in 8 European languages and so are equipped to undertake assignments on most of the continent.
Charles Lazarevic B.Sc., M.B.A., F.C.A., M.A.E
Charles founded the firm and his details are here.
Roger Lustig B.D., F.C.A., M.A.E
Roger qualified as a Chartered Accountant in central London working on smaller clients before joining a major firm to work on the audit of large corporates. He was recruited by a client and there followed a period working for major corporates in the electrical and construction sectors. In 1994 he joined a top-10 firm firm to grow their social housing sector, which included working on his first forensic accounting assignments. In 2003, he moved his practice to his own boutique firm, which grew and was acquired by Moore Stephens in 2011.
Roger has acted as an expert witness on commercial disputes, business valuations, loss of profits and fraud investigations. He has acted for prosecution and defence in privately and publicly funded cases. He has also acted as a single joint expert.
Roger has presented evidence in court and been cross examined on many cases on which he has worked.
James Wise B.Sc., A.C.A.
Obsessive about finding the truth in each case he takes on, James combines lateral thinking with a practical and commercial approach. While keeping it simple, clear and logical, James presents findings based on exploring the intricacies of each case – nothing is assumed.
James has specialised in forensic accounting for over 25 years, he has worked on quantum and causation forensic cases, across multiple sectors, in the High Court in the UK and in International Arbitrations held in Continental Europe. James has focussed on compensation claims and business valuations. He has been involved in a wide range of expert witness and advisory work including:
|• acquisition disputes||• claims against former directors in insolvencies|
|• loss of profit claims||• expert determinations|
|• contract breaches||• insurance claims|
|• valuations||• delays and defects claims|
|• professional negligence||• joint venture disputes|
|• investor compensation|
